This show is fits in EXACTLY the same headspace for me as Tokyo Revengers. No matter how much I could enjoy other parts of the show, the main character is such a detestable, annoying, unlikable person that there was no longer any desire to see anyone else's story play out here in this series. The enticing part of the premise was an exploration of Japanese mythology, and this goes into a lot of the more niche creatures I haven't heard of. The problem is that the main character gets so much screen time without going anywhere while showing the cryptid of the week.. They keep hinting towards him having 'deep and mysterious' power. By the time the show decided to show some actual plot and intrigue about other parties being involved with his powers, my good faith towards watching the show ran out.

The main character is bottom feeding scum, and shouldn't be watched. The animation isn't ugly and the voice acting is fine, but man is the main character a drag.
